The curators of the Resene Architecture & Design Film Festival wanted a new brand that would build visual equity and also evolve year-on-year, while supporting the festival’s major sponsor, Resene.
We designed an identity system where colour is key, evolving every season in response to Resene’s season. Each year the festival selects a hero image that is illustrated in that unique colour family.
The curators have run a sussessful festival for five consecutive years, using the same creative strategy and identity system. Embracing a long-term brand building approach has helped the festival grow audience numbers year-on-year and expand screenings into more cities around the regions.
